Admission and Application - Final Steps

Completing the online application is the first step toward your admission to State Center Community College District (SCCCD) and Fresno City College.

What’s next?

  1. You should receive a “SCCCD Admission Application Receipt” email message to your personal email account (the one you used for your application). This message lets you know you are on the right path!
  2. Next you should receive an “Application Acknowledgement” message to your personal email account. This message will provide you with your College Student ID Number and instructions for setting up your Free Student Email Account. You must activate your student email to receive important messages from the college and your instructors!
  3. Allow one business day from the “Application Acknowledgement “ and activate your student email account at http://www.scccd.edu/studentlogin.
  4. Complete the online student orientation. The link should be provided in your “Application Acknowledgement” email message. This orientation provides important information about the college and support services to assist you in your academic success. The orientation is required for you to become eligible to register for classes.
  5. Check your new student email account regularly for important messages. Some students choose to forward this new student email account to their personal email address (so they don’t miss any messages). Go to Settings>Options>Mail>Accounts>Forwarding.
  6. Watch your student email account for a message with the following subject line: “Spring 2018 (or upcoming term) Registration Information.” This message states that you are now eligible to register for the term named.
  7. Forward the email stating you are “eligible to register” for classes to retailmanagement@@fresnocitycollege.edu from your student (@myscccd.edu) email account to be added to the current Fresno City College Retail Management Certificate Program.
  8. If you are affiliated with one of the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) members, please provide the name of the organization in your email message.
  9. Register for your class(es) through WebAdvisor. For more information about the Retail Management Certificate Program, visit www.fresnocitycollege.edu/retailmanagement
