Fresno City College is the only community college in Fresno County that offers degree and transfer options to students in Theatre Arts. The Theatre Arts department strives to be relevant and current with the productions offered each year by supporting new plays and emerging playwrights that challenge our students. We select theatrical productions that inspire our students, reach out to our community, and continue to create a safe environment of expression for all.
In design and technical theatre we work with local community theatres, local companies of prop and set construction for entertainment, our local IATSE union, and other professionals in the entertainment industry both local and statewide in collaboration to provide students with various opportunities of work experience that can lead to future employment.
