The Cisco Networking Academy was created for individuals that are seeking entry level positions into the Computer Networking and Design Industry.

Networking: Students will learn how to connect together multiple P.C.'s and sites. They will learn how to interconnect (for sharing) computer resources such as: printers, file storage, file sharing, email and inter office messaging and memo.

Design: Students will learn to determine the resources any given company has and design their networking system to meet the resources available, as well as options for expansion. Students will learn how to determine the costs of installation and application of networking for any company.

Installation: Student will learn the physical medium for networking, such as wires and interconnections. Hardware Components such as: repeaters, routers, hubs and bridges. Student will learn the actual wiring for all connections within the building.

The advantage of taking the courses at an approved CISCO Academy, such as the one offered at Fresno City College: The completion of courses will be noted on the certification certificate (denoting the labs skills). See our links page for more information on Cisco Systems Networking Academy web site.

As an Academy alumni, the individual will be able to post a resume on the CISCO web-site for potential employers to review and hire from.
