Attention: Federal Work Study Students Americorp Members needed

WHO IS THE PROGRAM FOR?

Students interested in Teaching as a career (K-12); Liberal Studies or Single Subject Majors

WHAT HAPPENS?

You can make a difference.

You will be placed in K-6 classroom as a Reading Literacy Tutor.

You will have the opportunity to make an impact by working with students who are reading below grade level.

You will gain valuable field experience that will assist you in making a solid decision, “to teach or not to teach.”

You will participate in other required Americorp community service events.

You will complete a semester long Americorp class (GS 44) schedule on Tuesdays 1:00 p.m.- 2:40 p.m. and Thursdays 1:00 p.m.- 1:50 p.m.

You can earn an educational award.

You can use your federal work study award as a stipend.

Major Preparation Guides are a list of course requirements for and AA degree and transfers.

Associate in Arts Degree
The associate in arts degree is offered primarily for transfer students.
Requirements

Associate in Science Degree
The associate in science degree programs show the designated course requirements and the departmental recommendations for elective courses. These electives are supportive and carry a strong recommendation.
Requirements

Certificate of Achievement
A certificate of achievement in each program will be awarded to students who meet course requirements and who make application.

Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion may be awarded by completion of a combination of courses listed below with a minimum "C" average in each course.

Student in Graduation Cap and GownYou can graduate with a degree from Fresno City College, or complete all or most of your general education and lower division major requirements before you transfer to a University System.
