Accessibility Training

Making our content more accessible is not only a requirement under Section 508, but it is better for all our students and staff. It is the responsibility of each member of the organization to help make our information more accessible for everyone. Let’s make the State Center Community College District an example of good practice.

Accessibility training will be provided to all District staff and you should attend if you:

Create documents that will be shared or distributed electronically
Need access to make changes to any district website
Want to learn a few tricks and tips that make document modification easier
Create documents that need to be posted on the web or shared with students

Our campus/district has partnered with Hoonuit to provide access to a time-saving resource to address software training and support the moment it is needed. All faculty, staff and students now have access to over 50,000 how-to tutorials on over 205 applications—all at your fingertips 24 hours a day from campus or home. Whether you already have a solid understanding of the technology available to you or are beginning to learn, Hoonuit's tutorials make certain the answers to your “How do I do that?” questions are just a click away.

Vision Resource Center

The Vision Resource Center is the next evolution of the Professional Learning Network and provides continued access to Lynda.com and Skillsoft, as well as supporting more engaging resources and communities. All California Community College employees (faculty, staff, administrators and trustees) are eligible to access this library of training videos. PLEASE NOTE: to access the libraries of Lynda and Skillsoft, you will need to enter their websites through the Vision Resource Center.
