ACCOUNTING – MAJOR #2010
The accounting degree program qualifies the student for entry-level accounting positions in business, government, industry, and financial institutions. This program is designed for a two-year associate in science degree or certificate of achievement. Students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting should consult the catalog of the transfer institution for specific requirements.

Recommended Electives: ACCTG 73; BA 5, 16, 18, 30, and 33; BT 4, 20, and 21; Econ 1A and 1B; CIT 17, 24, 25, and 26.

* The advanced accounting courses noted above may also be used to satisfy the 24-unit eligibility requirement that must be met before a person can take the CPA Exam. Many students take these courses to satisfy that CPA exam requirement as well as to satisfy the associate in science degree requirement.
