The African American Faculty and Staff Association (hereafter “AAFSA”) is dedicated to enriching the Fresno City College (hereafter “FCC”) campus, African American students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community through leadership, model citizenship, cultural pride, cultural awareness activities and active participation in campus governance and programs/activities.
The AAFSA is:
A proactive and supportive organization for African American students, faculty and staff of FCC that promotes the academic success and professional development of African American students, staff and faculty through educational and professional internships, conferences, workshops, mentoring, community involvement and other related activities.
A resource for FCC to assist in the increased number of African American students who complete the Associate of Arts/Science degrees, certificates and/or transfer programs.
bulwark for African American students, staff, and faculty to develop and fulfill their highest level of personal and professional potential.
Constitution and Bylaws
