The African American Faculty and Staff Association are dedicated to promoting and supporting the academic and professional development of the faculty, staff and students of Fresno City College. We endeavor to enrich the campus and the surrounding community through our cultural awareness activities and our active participation in campus governance, programs and events. Additionally, we are committed to ongoing mentoring of each other and the students who look to us to demonstrate leadership, cultural pride, and model citizenship.
- To promote the academic and professional development and success of African American students, staff and faculty through internships, conferences, workshops, mentoring, community involvement and other related activities.
- To increase the percentage of African American students who complete degrees, certificated and/or transfer.
- To develop activities, programs and relationships which enhance and promote an awareness and appreciation of/for other cultures.
- To encourage African American students, staff, and faculty to develop and fulfill their highest level of personal and professional potential.
