Fresno City College was established in 1910 as the first California community college. As an institution for higher learning, the college promotes student success, participation, diversity, collegiality, innovation and stewardship. All are core values at Fresno City College.

The FCC mission is dedicated to working collaboratively with our community to enhance the economic and social development of the region. There are outstanding academic programs that help students with their educational goals.

The college has a strong Code of Ethics and Excellence guide for all faculty, students and staff. There is a profound appreciation of and respect for the dignity and worth of each member of our community. The guide includes the following values: fairness, civility, integrity, respect and trust.
