Welcome to Fresno City College Athletics. As the interim Athletic Director, I would like to express how extremely proud I am to offer our 500+ student/athletes a professional and experienced coaching staff as well as superior athletic training and academic support programs.

Last year the FCC Athletic Department received the inaugural crowning achievement in college athletics, the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup which honors institutions maintaining a broad-based program, achieving success in many sports, both men’s and women’s. The award began in 1993-94 for Division I by NACDA and USA Today, it was expanded in 1995-96 to include Division II, III and the NAIA. In 2012, the community college division was added.

Fresno City College has added this national all-sports award to the overall state title it won for its performance in championship events for the 2011-12 school year. The Rams earned the inaugural Directors’ Cup, after taking home state championships in wrestling, men’s basketball and men’s tennis.

Each institution is awarded points in a pre-determined number of sports for men and women.

This award is a great achievement for our college and our athletes and the whole community can take pride in the quality of athletic programs at FCC. This quality is a result of our dedicated coaching staff, generous donors and the partnerships we have with the high school athletic programs in the central valley.

We value excellence on the field, in the classroom, and also in the community. As the first community college in California, we believe in giving back by providing a quality program and maintaining a tradition that is so valued by the college and its alumni.

We hope that this web site will provide you with all the athletic information and answers you need, but much like our athletic program, we are constantly striving to improve. Your suggestions and recommendations as to how we might enhance the site are always welcome. Thank you for visiting the Fresno City College Athletic Department web site.

Come back often!

RAMCAMP!

 RAMCAMP! RamCamp 2014 Brochure

RAMCAMP is offered by the Fresno City College Physical Education Department. Camp Director, Susan Yates, along with FCC assistant women’s basketball coach, Brenda Frazier, organize this summer camp each year. A wonderful complement of instructors and coaches provide each “camper” with a positive experience in various activities. College students who major in a related field and/or specialize in a sport also provide guidance and assistance to each participant. For additional information, call 443-8503 or 269-4565.

Purpose
The objective is to provide boys and girls, ages 6–14, with a learning experience in a supervised college atmosphere to improve their skill level. The program also aims to develop sportsmanship, fair play and an increased level of fitness.

Program of Activities
Each student will receive instruction in a variety of activities.
Individuals will be grouped, as much as possible, according to his/her skill and social level, i.e. 6–8 yr., 9–10 yr., 11–14 yr.
All activities will be coeducational.
The teaching emphasis will be placed on physical skills.
At the end of the session, each child will receive a "Certificate of Successful Completion."
Activities are subject to availability of facilities and instructors.

Registration
Advanced registration is recommended and will be accepted by mail or in person through the FCC Physical Education Department.

Registration will be on a first-come basis. The preregistration form is attached, and when received and paid in full, will reserve a space for your child. There will also be a registration period the first day of each session from 7:15 to 8:15am in the gym, if the camp is not at full capacity.

Refund Policy
Refunds for those dropping from the program will be granted only before the first meeting. Refund requests must be submitted in writing 24 hours in advance of class through the FCC Physical Education Department. (There is a $5 service charge.) Campers must demonstrate behavior that is desirable to meet the purpose of RAMCAMP. Failure to do so could result in dismissal.
