Enrollment / Degree / GPA Verification

Return to Admissions & Records Office Menu

Verifications requested from Fresno City College will include all coursework taken within the State Center Community College District (Fresno City College, Career & Technology Center, FCC Training Institute, Clovis Community College, Reedley College, Clovis/Herndon, Madera, and Oakhurst Centers as well as other associated sites).

We cannot process enrollment verifications for the current or an upcoming semester until after the Census Date (the last day to drop your class without receiving a “W” on your record) has passed. Processing takes ten(10) to fourteen (14) business days except during periods which involve holidays or at the beginning of each semester. At those times, students should allow at least twenty-one (21) buisness days for processing.

Please check your WebAdvisor under Registration Eligibility to ensure that you do not have any Business Office Holds as we cannot begin to process your verification request until any outstanding fees owed to the college have been paid. Students with outstanding financial obligations will NOT be provided with verifications until the hold is cleared by the Business office.

Types of Verifications

Enrollment or Non-Enrollment

Enrollment and Non-Enrollment verifications are the most common type of verification and are used to verify your enrollment or lack thereof in classes. It is used to satisfy requirements for scholarships, government programs, student status for insurance, and other similar purposes.

Degree verifications are generally requested to verify a degree for employment purposes or for certain government programs.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

GPA verifications are most commonly needed for Cal Grants. Students must have completed 16 or more Associate Degree Level units at the end of the previous semester to be considered for Cal Grant. The time period in which you must have reached the 16 units is 3 years.

For example, if you need verification for Fall 2015, the sixteen units must have been accumulated between Fall 2012 and the end of Spring 2015. If you have completed these units within the State Center Community College District, your Cal Grant verification will be sent automatically at the end of the third month of the following semester. To meet the unit requirement, you may need to include units from other colleges. If you have such units, you must request that they be included in writing or by submitting the Request a Verification form.
