The Media Center houses the Tutorial Center (LI-134), student Open Computer Lab (LI-118), Director of Technologies Office (LI-136), instructional audio/visual services, Teaching/Learning Center (TLC), faculty teaching computer lab (LI-141), and Technology Suupport Services personell.
The Media Center and Technology Support Services office provides technology coordination and support for the campus and for several functions across the district including; computer technical support for both the academic and administrative areas of the campus, technical support of Distance Education and Online Instruction, support for the campus network infrastructure including both wired and wireless networks, support and training for the campus e-mail system, printer and copier support, media services including audio/visual support and repair, and research on new emerging technologies for instruction and campus business processes.
The Tutorial Center offers all students on campus free learning assistance in all subject areas and basic skills. Students can receive help by arranging an appointment with the Tutorial Center receptionist. Pleae contact the Tutorial Center for additonal infomration.
The 96-station computer lab (92 PC's and 4 MAC's) has a variety of software for word processing and specialty programs required for certain classes. Assistance is available but at least beginner-level computer skills are necessary.
The TLC provides regulary scheduled faculty training in various software in the faculty computer lab (LI-141) and through one-on-one training.
