Work saved onto the computer’s hard drive will not be retrievable in case of power or computer failures.
A variety of software is available including MS OFFICE (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher,) Wordperfect, QuatroPro, KeyboardingPro, Gregg College Keyboarding, DineHealthy, DietAnalysis, Maple, AutoCad, SolidWorks, and Photoshop. In addition, instructors may arrange for supplemental software to be available for their students by contacting the Computer Lab Supervisor.
Laser printing is available from every station. The first twenty pages per log-in session are free and each additional page after that is $.05 (subject to change). Tutors are available to help students, but some computer skills by the student is necessary. Helpful information sheets are available for much of the available software.
The Internet is available on all of the computers. CD burners and DVD players are available on many of the computers.
First time users are provided a copy of the Lab’s rules and policies and must sign that they agree to adhere to follow them. It is also the student’s responsibility to make sure they are aware of and follow all District Internet and computer use policies.
The Computer Lab tutors and the Computer Lab supervisor are always available to assist.
