Online Academic Counseling Services

The State Center Community College District (SCCCD) offers the following Online Academic Counseling Services:  Live Help; FAQ Database; and Online Orientation.

Summer 2016 Live Help Hours (Pacific Standard Time)

May 23rd - August 13th

Summer Online Counseling hours will be very limited. Online Counselors will be available when the Counseling Live Help button is blue. When the button is gray, the counselors are offline. Full Online Counseling schedule will be available for Fall 2016 beginning August 15th. Please check back then for full availability.

SCCCD Live Help - (Online Communication with an Academic Counselor)

  • Engage in a live chat with a counselor by clicking on the "Live Help" button above
  • Accessible during the days and times listed above (schedule subject to change - see Online Counseling Blackboard site for changes to schedule)
  • Type of service we can provide online:  answer general counseling questions, provide links for major sheets, provide information regarding campus services
  • Services we are unable to provide online:  review/discuss transcripts, complete SEP's (Student Educational Plans), provide information regarding confidential records

  • The FAQ Database is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • The database offers the most commonly asked counseling and guidance questions and answers

SCCCD Online Orientation

  • Complete your Orientation online by clicking here
  • Your Orientation hold will be cleared within 48 business hours Monday - Friday (excluding holidays)
  • If you would like to attend an Orientation in person, you may make arrangements to attend the Orientation and receive help with your first semester class registration by contacting College Relations at (559) 442-8225
