Fresno City
College does not have on-campus housing. Here are some resources
that will help get you started in finding a place to live in
Fresno.
Transportation
If you
don’t have your own car it would be best to live within walking
distance of Fresno City College. If that is not possible, here are
some ideas for transportation.s

Bus
–
Fresno Area Express
(FAX) is a public transportation service.
Monthly bus passes can be purchased for $35 at the Business
Office.

Taxi
– There are
several taxi and limousine companies operating in Fresno. Look in
the phone book for listings.

Car Rentals
–
There are many car rental companies in Fresno. Most rental
agencies require the driver to be 25 years of age. You will need a
credit card and valid driver’s license to rent a car.
Employment in
the US
International students may seek on-campus employment after the
successful completion of one semester at Fresno City College.
Approval for
employment off-campus because of severe economic hardship is
difficult to obtain, and must be approved by the bureau of
citizenship and immigration services (BCIS).

If
employment is absolutely necessary after the first academic year
ONLY because of unforeseen severe economic hardship, students are
advised to contact the International Admissions Office for details
and procedures.
Students are
eligible for a maximum of one year of “practical training”
employment if the work is related to their major. Students may
apply and work part-time while in school, or approval may be
granted during the last year of the students' studies for one year
of full-time employment upon the completion of their studies.
