Information Technology Don Lopez Associate Dean of Instruction Jon Wilson 5782 Distance Education / IT Support Tech Distance Education Jon Wilson, the Distance Education / Information Technology Support Technician, is available for a variety of support issues. Jon has experience in a wide range of technologies, including digital cameras (both still and video), laptop computers (which are available for faculty checkout), web storage (where faculty can host their websites), media services (for streaming video services, which enhance the classroom experience), and a wide variety of software. Jon is available to provide the following kinds of support: Providing assistance and training to faculty with digital tools available for teaching a learning community Maintaining equipment inventory information for grant reporting Advising administration and faculty on purchasing for effective technology use Configuring and maintaining web server for marketing presence and instructional use by learning community faculty Researching new technologies for Learning Communities Training Learning Communities instructors in the appropriate use of technologies.
