The staff of the Learning Center
(LI-134) assists instructors to use media materials to enrich
course curricula. This center also provides equipment and media
materials for students to use to enrich or augment course instruction,
to study independently, and to enjoy. A card catalog on the Learning
Center counter lists all current holdings. The Learning Center
has 24 carrels, which are equipped with audio cassette players
and television players.
The center is open between
8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m, Monday through Thursday, and until noon
on Friday. If a student wishes to request materials from the
Learning Center, he/she must bring a current FCC Library card.
Students may request duplication
of instructional audio tapes, for example taped lectures. They
must allow three days for this service and provide blank 90 minute,
normal biased audio cassette tapes. The Learning Center does
not duplicate video tapes.
