Evening Classes
The purpose of evening classes
is to assist students to develop vocationally, to train students
for employment, to satisfy requirements for a college degree
and to provide opportunity for cultural enrichment. Course content,
time necessary for preparation of assignments, textbooks, attendance
and regulations parallel day class requirements.
Students in an evening program
register for college credit. They must assume the responsibilities
of attending classes regularly and of spending adequate time
outside the classroom for preparation.
In addition to the courses
paralleling regular day offerings, the evening program also includes
apprenticeship training and trade extension courses in related
trade occupations. Registration procedures for evening classes
are the same as those for day classes.
Summer Semester
The summer semester meets the
needs of high school graduates, regular lower-division college
students and post-high school age students. The courses offered
have standards equivalent to those offered during the regular
school year.
An announcement of summer offerings
is made in early March. Offerings depend upon the need of prospective
students and sufficient class enrollment.
