The Fresno City College SYMBAA Program emphasize the African American male student experience and provide assistance for transferring to a four year university through a variety of services including:

  • Academic advising
  • Cohort structure

  • African cultural experience
  • PASS tutoring for English
  • Access to resources (financial aid, transfer center, career services)

Eligibility

  • Eligible to register for English 252 and 262
  • Strong interest in transferring to a university
  • SYMBAA program is open to all male students
  • Interest in discussing topics within the African American community from a male perspective
  • Willingness to participate in program functions and activities

Students may enter the SYMBAA program during the Summer, Fall and Spring semesters.
