Veterans' Memorial - Main Page
Every year since 1990, Fresno
City College has elected to highlight a particular group of
soldiers who have served our county at each years' Veterans Day Celebration.
This is so that we may all gain a
better understanding of the contributions of different cultural
groups.
We have honored soldiers of
Native American descent, the Laotians, the Americans of Japanese
descent, Hispanic-Americans, and African-American men and women who have served in the
Armed Forces, just to name a few.
The Veterans' Peace Memorial
Monument and Court of Honor is located on the grassy knoll just
south of the gymnasium between the bookstore and the cafeteria in
the Free Speech Area of Fresno City College.
