Certified Hours

120 hours - Students cannot miss more than 6 hours of this course in order to comply with POST requirements and to pass this course.  No make up time is allowed.

Course Description - AJ278

The Basic Complaint/Dispatcher Academy is a 120-hour course designed to satisfy P.O.S.T. requirements. Each trainee, after completing this course will have a general knowledge of Public Safety Dispatching, and understanding of the Criminal Justice System, in-sight into Telecommunications Systems and an understanding of the Public Safety Communicators role in Officer Safety.
