Technology and Book Returns for fall 2020
Library materials check-in and checkout is located in the Library’s West Wing with entrance through the Peace Garden. Please follow signage.

- Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Saturday 9:00 am – noon
Laptops
All laptops (and chargers, bags, etc.) must be returned to the Library by December 16 to avoid a fine on your account. Back up any documents you saved on the laptop in the cloud or on a separate device before returning your laptop. Laptops need to be returned even if you are registered for classes in spring 2021. You can check out a laptop for spring semester beginning January 6 (you will be able to make an appointment when you return your laptop).
iPads
If you are enrolled in Spring 2021
You do not need to return the iPad if you are enrolled in classes for the spring semester. You will need to renew your iPad by either calling the library at 559-442-8204 or online HERE. It is your responsibility to renew your iPad. There are a few iPads that will need to come back for inventory reasons. You will be contacted by phone and email if your device needs to be brought in.
If you are not enrolled in Spring 2021
You must return the iPad you used this semester by December 11, 2020 during our open hours, no appointment needed.
MiFis
If you are enrolled in Spring 2021
You do not need to return you MiFi IF you are enrolled in classes for spring semester. You will need to renew your MiFi by either calling the library at 559-442-8204 or online HERE. It is your responsibility to renew your MiFi. Please NOTE: Some MiFis will expire between December 11 and 31. If your device stops working, you can come to the library after January 6 to exchange for a new one.
If you are not enrolled in Spring 2021
You must return the MiFi you used this semester by December 11, 2020 during our open hours, no appointment needed.
Calculators
All calculators must be returned to the Library by December 11, 2020.
Books
All books must be returned to the library by December 11 in the book return box located in the back of the library.

Students can now make appointments to use the Library computer lab and study space Mon-Thu 9 AM-4 PM and Fri 9 AM-2 PM. Call the Library to make an appointment through December. See how we're keeping everyone safe during re-opening.

Safety Requirements
All persons checking out material from the library building must do the following:
- Wear a face covering and sanitize hands
- Have a valid photo ID ready to show (can be any of the following: FCC ID, driver’s license, California ID, passport, high school ID, work ID)
- Follow social distancing rules
There are many service providers who are providing free or reduced fees for internet services during this crisis. There are links to those providers below.
- Xfinity (Comcast) Internet Services: Free WiFi, data caps paused, two months free access to low-income households
- Comcast has also opened up all of its hotspots so you can get free Wi-Fi.
- AT&T Internet Services: Free WiFi, data caps paused, two months free access to low-income households
- Sprint/T-Mobile: Data caps paused, distributing mobile hotspots to students
- Verizon Services : Free WiFi
- Frontier: Free WiFi
- Free access for 2 months through Internet Essentials.
- Low-cost Internet offers

Counseling Department provides online counseling for current students. Academic Counseling is available by contacting your specific counseling office.
