The 25 Month Early Childhood Education Associate in Sciences degree for Transfer (AS-T) Program is designed for working students interested in becoming preschool or early primary teachers. Classes are offered in the evenings, Saturday mornings, and online.
Student cohorts start every other fall semester.
Classes are scheduled in short-term formats and typically meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30-10:00 pm, and Saturdays, 8:30 am-1:00 pm, with some online courses.
Enrollment in these courses is restricted and cohort students are registered by the Social Sciences Division based on course preference sheets e-mailed prior to the beginning of each registration period. As long as these sheets are returned prior to the deadline in the email, students are guaranteed a seat.
Contact Melissa Kent for more information.
To be eligible for the program students must have a current application on file for the college and be eligible for English 1A and Math 103. Eligibility is determined by Math and English Placement Test scores and some students may be required to take additional courses to meet eligibility levels.
