This is a graduation and completion celebration for Latino students and their families.
The 14th Annual Latino Graduation Celebration will be held
Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 am
Fresno City College Old Administration Building (OAB) Auditorium
Students who wish to participate in the 2018 Latino Graduation Celebration, must submit notification by completing the free registration form before April 22, 2018.
Graduates are required to arrive by 4:00 pm at the OAB Auditorium.
Graduates will be asked to fill out a 3x5 card with their name, major (degree or certificate) and a “Thank You” message of their choice. The “Thank you” messages cannot be more than 25 words. Messages can be in English and/or Spanish. Graduates will be asked to read their “Thank You” message during the graduation ceremony when their name is announced.
Graduates who may need special accommodations for seating due to a disability must inform a LGC volunteer for assistance.
The sash is a “gift” that each graduate will receive the day of the celebration. Graduates are to wear the sash during the graduation celebration. The sash consists of the Fresno City College colors: red and white.
No cap and gown is required. Please dress with a professional attire (Guayaveras, suit and tie, dresses, slacks, heels, etc). Graduates will have their picture taken.
Admission to the celebration is free of cost. Doors will open for family members at 4:00 pm. No balloon will be allowed in the Auditorium.
There will be free/relaxed parking available on campus parking lots.
Handicapped seating is available in the theatre. Please seek usher assistance.
Sign-language interpretation services will be available throughout the graduation celebration. An interpreter will be positioned on stage.
A high quality digital picture of each graduate shaking hands with the president of Fresno City College will be taken as each student makes their way across the stage. Pictures will be available on Facebook.
