LAKOS Quality Internship

Since 1972, LAKOS has solved customers' complex water filtration problems using innovative and reliable solutions. Our products solve problems in industrial manufacturing, HVAC, food processing, agriculture, municipal and other applications worldwide.

We are looking for EHS intern that would aid the EHS manager in the day-to-day responsibilities such as updating safety procedures, ensuring safety logs and checks are completed. Also follow the existing Cal-OSHA Injury and Illness Prevention Program for a pro-active safety approach to Work Area Inspections, Job Hazard Analysis, Machine Guarding, Job instruction sheets, and Lock Out/ Tag Out Procedures to ensure a safe working environment for Lakos employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support EHS manager in development and execution of our safety policies.
  • Investigate and document safety procedures, work injuries and countermeasures.
  • Work hands-on with the manufacturing team to learn the process being documented.
  • Take photographs and combine process steps into a standard format.
  • Review the procedures for accuracy to current process.
  • Operate computer equipment to write and develop procedures.
  • Ensure logs, safety checks, and monthly inspections are being performed.
  • Participate in monthly safety walks, mange actions items and follow up completion of them.
  • Involve production team leaders, operators, and managers in procedure documentation.
  • Personal integrity and ability to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in an ethical and non-discriminatory manner.
  • Determination and assertiveness to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Strong communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of personnel and all departments in the plant.
