Mission Statement: The Adult Education Program at Fresno City College provides equitable and inclusive access to support adult learners ages 18 years and older. We partner with adult schools and community organizations to provide educational and career readiness opportunities to transition adult learners into post-secondary education and the workforce.

English as a Second Language Classes

The English for Multi Lingual Students (EMLS) department offers classes and services for students whose first language is not English. Credit and Non Credit formats available.

High School Equivalency Preparation

Tuition free High School Equivalency Preparation Classes (HiSET) for students who want to get their credential which is equivalent to a high school diploma in California.

Technical Training Programs

Fresno City College offers a variety of for-credit and non-credit courses in workforce preparation. Student will have the opportunity to build job-specific technical training.

Adult Education Dual Enrollment Program

Advancing Adult Education in California

Fresno City College's Adult Education Department is Recognized as a Model Program in California

Fresno City College Adult Education has been recognized by the California Adult Education Program (CAEP) as a model Adult Ed program in California. This award qualifies FCC Adult Ed to be added to the repository on Advancing CA Adult Education website under Model Programs. FCC Adult Ed will also have a 24”x30” poster printed and highlighted in the main ballroom through the duration of the CAEP 2023 Summit.
