Fresno City College Respiratory Care Practitioner Program (RCP) (F.4610.AS) is designed to educate and train students for entry level practice, obtain an Associate of Science degree, be eligible to take the national exams and work in a structured health care setting.

Respiratory Care Practitioner Program Application Requirement

Beginning the Fall 2017 application period, the Respiratory Care Practitioner Program will no longer accept BIO 24-Human Anatomy & Physiology or its equivalent to satisfy the program application requirement of Human Anatomy and Human Physiology. Students will be required to complete Human Anatomy and Human Physiology as separate courses in order to apply to the Respiratory Care Practitioner Program lottery. Current courses accepted included BIO 20-Human Anatomy and BIO 22-Human Physiology or BIO 21A-Human Anatomy & Physiology I and BIO 21B-Human Anatomy & Physiology II.

Please Note: Biology 24 will be grandfathered in for those students who have taken the course and who have already applied to the Respiratory Care Practitioner Program lottery prior to the Fall 2017 application period. These students must be in the Respiratory Care Practitioner Program lottery prior to the Fall 2017 application period.
