Please join me in welcoming two new members to the FCC Management Team.
Dr. Carla Walter will be serving as the interim Vice President of Administrative Services. She has an extensive resume which includes serving as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Chabot College from 2014 – 2017. She also served as the Dean in the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Chabot.
Dr. Walter was an Assistant Dean, MBA Program Director, and Associate Professor of Marketing and Management, in the School of Business at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri from 2003 – 2010.
From 2010 – 2013 she was the Program Director for the Arts Entrepreneurship, and Associate Professor of Marketing and Management in the School of Management at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California.
Her educational background includes Postdoctoral Study at the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in Consumer Behavior. She earned a PhD in Dance History and Theory from UC Riverside and an MBA from Cal State University, San Bernardino with an emphasis in Marketing and Management. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from UC Riverside in Economics.
Doug Schreiner, has been selected as the interim Director of Technology Support Services. He has worked at the college for over 15 years as the Systems Technical Resource Analyst. His primary responsibility is the college’s Data Center and the Virtual Campus project which was implemented 8 years ago. He serves on the FCC Disaster Recovery Committee and has worked extensively with the District Office Information Systems Department on multiple projects.
Doug will be working closely with our Vice President of Instruction, Don Lopez, during this transition. Prior to FCC, he worked at Central Unified School District for four years in their Information Technology Department as the Systems Administrator/Computer Support Technician and served as their interim Computer Services Manager.
Doug has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Heald College and lives in Reedley.
