CityFest 2019

Dance the night away to electrifying 80's hit music at the fifth annual CityFest hosted by Fresno City College. Enjoy food, beer, wine, dancing and live music by 80's tribute band, Max Headroom, on September 20, 2019 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the breathtaking setting of the historic Old Administrative Building.

Food and Drink

The $35 admission includes a complimentary drink ticket and all-you-can-eat food stations with street cuisine catered by Taher Inc. Visit the two bars serving beer and wine at $7 per drink or $20 for three drinks. Cruise through the silent auction and marvel at the creative designs by students in the Applied Technology Division. With the event growing in popularity and over 300 attendees expected, you are bound to meet new friends on the dance floor.

CityFest is a campus-based fundraiser for student scholarships. This year, all proceeds go towards fully endowing the Applied Technology Division Dean’s Medallion Scholarship. The goal is to raise $5,000 and get a match of $5,000 from the State Center Community College Foundation.

Applied Technology is one of nine college divisions that awards graduating students with a Dean’s Medallion award, one of the highest honors a student can earn at the college. Dean’s Medallion recipients are students who have overcome personal and educational barriers to earn a degree.  In the Applied Technology Division, students are pursuing careers in technical education, such as manufacturing, electrical systems, visual media, digital design, welding and automotive repair.

CityFest chairperson Ernie Garcia invites all to join the cause of supporting college students. “CityFest creates a sense of community. Everyone involved, including our partners and sponsors, are clearly committed to helping our students,” Garcia said.

Fresno City College is pleased to announce that ABC30 is this year’s CityFest media sponsor.  Donaghy Sales is the exclusive beer sponsor and Gil Soto of Serious Beverage Company is the exclusive wine sponsor.
