FCC Hope for the Holidays

“Never underestimate what a simple gesture
can do. It is the little things you do that make
a big difference in other people’s lives.”
-Carol Pulsifer

Dear Community Partner,

Fresno City College has a service tradition of supporting students in need during the holidays. For over thirty-five years, faculty, staff, and community partners have donated funds to support students with a holiday meal. Deserving students are nominated and screened to receive a $50 Save Mart gift card. The students nominated are in good standing, but are experiencing hardship or are a single parent.  The State Center Community College Fact Book has reported that 73% of FCC students were either low-income (defined by receiving BOG waiver), first-generation, or had a disability.  As economic hardship continues to impact our students we continue to be committed to this important service project.

This year, on behalf of the Hope for the Holidays committee, I want to invite you to make a donation of any amount that will support our efforts to help students stay with their studies. All donations are tax-deductible and directly impact students at a crucial time. All donors will be recognized on the gift tag to over 200 student recipients.

On behalf of the committee, I thank you for any donation you can make to support community college students. The students appreciate your community leadership and goodwill.  To contribute, please fill out the form below or you can mail your donation to:
