Gladiator Welding Program
The Gladiator Welding Program is an innovative not-for-credit cohort-based workforce development program that seeks to train residents of the historically disadvantaged Southwest Fresno community for a career in the in-demand field of welding. The program is funded by the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) grant and is a partnership between SCCCD, The City of Fresno and VOICE, a community based 501c3 non-profit. Over 5 months of accelerated training, students gain the skills and knowledge they need to have a successful career as a welder. The program is offered at no cost to the student. Program completers will have the opportunity to gain their AWS certification in MIG, TIG and ARC welding.
Our team of instructors deliver high quality training in GMAW (mig), GTAW (tig), SMAW (stick), and FCAW (flux core) arc welding to prepare our students for AWS certification and careers in the welding industry.
