African American Studies

Are you interested in the history, heritage, and social culture of African Americans and African people living throughout the world? The African American Studies Program helps you establish the knowledge and skills needed to understand, communicate, and appreciate the rich cultural diversity of American society through the study of the African American community. Courses cover a wide range of topics, from music and art to history, providing you context and the skill to engage in critical analysis. This program is a core component of the Social Justice Studies degree.
