African American Graduates Celebration

This event is a graduates’ celebration for African American students and their families sponsored by the FCC African American Faculty and Staff Association.


Our Annual African American Graduates Celebration will be held on:

Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Fresno City College, Old Administration Building (OAB) Room 251

The celebration will begin with a reception from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 1:45 pm (all in OAB-251).

Registration Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2020


Graduates or guests who may need special accommodations should indicate the need during the time of registration.


To participate in the FCC African American Graduates Celebration 2020, students must complete and submit the free registration form online before April 17, 2020. The reception will take place between 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM and the program will follow at 1:45 PM.

The Kente Sash is a “gift” that first-time graduates will receive the day of the celebration provided they register and attend the celebration. If you received a Kente Sash previously, please wear it to the celebration.  Graduates are to wear the Kente Sash during the graduation celebration.


No cap and gown are required for this event. Please dress in professional attire.


There will be free/relaxed parking on the FCC campus.  The closes location for parking on campus to the OAB Building is Lots A and C (in the front of the campus) and Lots L and K (directly behind the OAB Building).
