Films:

Eyes Without a Face 1:45pm
Step into haunting beauty with Eyes Without a Face (1960). Directed by Georges Franju and co-written by Boileau-Narcejac, this classic follows Dr. Génessier, a brilliant but guilt-wracked surgeon who caused his daughter Christiane’s disfigurement in a tragic accident. Driven by desperation, he abducts young women and attempts face transplants in his secluded mansion laboratory, all while Christiane, masked and isolated, watches with growing horror. Scarce in gore yet rich in atmosphere, the film weaves myths of guilt, identity, and obsession with lyrical visuals that linger long after the credits. A landmark in the genre, Eyes Without a Face remains celebrated for its poetic approach and its lasting influence on horror cinema.

Drive Back 4:00pm
Drive Back (2024) is a tense, relentless thriller that begins when a couple, fresh from their engagement party, sets out on the road only to find themselves trapped in a seemingly endless undertaking. As darkness closes in, they must navigate backroads, cryptic locals, and chilling uncertainty to survive. Directed by local director Cody Ashford and starring Crystal Foster and Zack Gold, the film blends psychological dread with raw urgency, turning every mile into a test of trust, will, and fate. Stick around for a Q&A with director Cody Ashford!

A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night 7:00pm
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) is a hypnotic, genre-bending vampire Western directed by Ana Lily Amirpour. Set in the ghost town of “Bad City,” this black-and-white Persian-language film follows a mysterious, chador-clad vampire who roams the night, preying on those she deems unworthy and showing mercy to others. When she encounters Arash, a young loner entangled in debt and despair, a connection forms between two isolated souls. As darkness and danger press in, they navigate fear, longing, and power in a landscape of outlaw streets, silence, and shadows. Promoted as the “first Iranian vampire Western,” this film fuses horror, romance, and Western archetypes.
