Extreme Registration

Now is the time to enroll at Fresno City College as the fall semester fast approaches.  Classes begin on Monday, August 12 and there are still seats available in a number of courses.  In addition, there is a new law that provides FREE TUITION for first-time students.

A great opportunity to register for classes comes this Friday and Saturday at Extreme Registration. Extreme Registration is a one-stop shop that offers everything a student will need to enroll. It takes place in the FCC Library on Friday, August 2 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Extreme Registration will include staff from admissions, counseling, financial aid, and business services.  At Extreme Registration students can select courses and plan a class schedule, complete registration for classes, receive counseling and advising, pay fees, buy a student ID card, purchase a parking permit and more.

At only $46 a unit, Fresno City College offers classes in 120 associate degrees including 26 with guaranteed transfer.  FCC has 96 certificates of achievement and more than 80 Career and Technical Education programs. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify which includes scholarships, grants, loans, fee waivers, and work-study.

Ram Ready

Beginning college is always an exciting time for any student.  Before the semester begins, many students still have questions that need answering. To help all new students starting their life as a Fresno City College Ram, they can attend to Ram Ready, a New Student Welcome.

Ram Ready is a new student welcome to college event designed to help students navigate their first week and first semester of college. This event will provide students with useful, need-to-know information:

  • Important information on college life
  • Campus tour: Locate your classrooms
  • Purchase a parking permit and ASB ID card
  • Helpful textbook information
  • Financial aid services available
  • Giveaways, refreshments and more!

Students will have two days and four sessions from which to choose. The first two session are on Tuesday, August 6 at from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.  – 5:00 p.m.  The second Ram Ready day is Saturday, August 10 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Check in takes place on the West Lawn near Maroa. 

Students will also have a chance to purchase parking permits, a student ID and pay fees. In addition, financial aid services will be available. There is free parking on the lots off McKinley Ave.
