GivingTuesday Goal is Fighting Food Insecurity

Nov 20, 2023

For the sixth year, Fresno City College will participate in the #GivingTuesday fundraising campaign that will benefit the FCC Ram Pantry on Tuesday, November 28. This year the goal is to raise $40,000!

RAM PANTRY

The Ram Pantry is a free food assistance program to combat food insecurity among currently enrolled Fresno City College students.  With this assistance, students can focus on classroom success instead of their hunger.  The goal is to increase the graduation and course completion rates to help them finish their education.  The Ram Pantry has been open since 2015.

This year, we have experienced record-breaking numbers with thousands of students visiting the pantry every day. For the 2023 fall semester, we have had over 1,100 student visits daily with a grand total of over 50,000 visits recorded.

In 2022, we were thrilled by the community’s generosity with over $42,000 raised for the Ram Pantry! With the community’s help and support, FCC can meet this year’s goal too!
