About Hanna S. Barsam
Hanna S. Barsam was a Central Valley photographer, who devoted much of his life to his craft. Specializing in architectural photography, he started his career by taking photos of landscapes and scenes of everyday life. He had a keen eye for creating images that captivated and inspired the viewer. He was also a mentor to others and was sought after for his insight and creativity. Barsam received many awards for his work in both landscape and architectural photography.

In 2013, Mr. Ed Darden, Barsam estate executor, established an endowment with Fresno City College’s Photography Program. This endowment created the Hanna S. Barsam Award. A $1500 cash award is offered every Spring to a photo student who demonstrates excellence in photography.
