Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Softball Complex

Fresno City College will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 5 for the newly remodeled Softball Complex.  The ceremony will begin at noon prior to the 1:00 pm softball game where new head coach Linda Garza’s Rams will face the College of the Sequoias Giants.

The expansion of the existing two-acre complex is located behind the FCC Gym off College Avenue, on the north side of the campus.  The $5 million project made vastly needed improvements to the existing softball field.

The new additions include:

• A new team building containing-
  • team room
  • coach’s office
  • new restrooms
  • snack bar
  • storage areas
• Field lighting
• Improved bleachers allowing more spectators
• Announcer’s booth
• In-ground dugout enclosures
• Batting cage area
• Two pitching warm-up areas
• Backstop fencing

Guest are encouraged to wear their favorite baseball team jersey and come and enjoy a hotdog and other refreshments.
