Police Academy Graduation

The Fresno City College Police Academy will hold a completion ceremony at the Cross City Church located at 2777 E. Nees Ave. in Fresno on Thursday, June 26 at 3:00 p.m. for the Police Academy Class #177. Its 50 cadets have completed 1013 hours of the academy basic courses that includes, Cultural Diversity, Search & Seizure, Laws of Arrest, Principled Policing in the Community, Use of Force, First Aid/CPR, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Report Writing and Physical Fitness.
In addition, several awards will be presented:
- Top Physical Training Award
- Top Law Enforcement Skills Award
- Top Academic Student Award
- Best All Around Student Award
Awards are sponsored by Fresno/Madera Counties Police Chief’s Association.
There are 48 police cadets who have been hired by 9 different law enforcement agencies that include Fresno Police Department, Fresno Sherriff’s Office, Merced Police Department, Clovis Police Department, Madera Police Department, Reedley Police Department and Chowchilla Police Department and the Mariposa Sherriff’s Office.
