Police Academy Graduation

The Fresno City College Police Academy will hold a completion ceremony at the People’s Church located at 7172 N. Cedar Ave. in Fresno on Friday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. for the Police Academy Class #178. Its 38 cadets have completed 1013 hours of the academy basic courses that includes, Cultural Diversity, Search & Seizure, Laws of Arrest, Principled Policing in the Community, Use of Force, First Aid/CPR, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Report Writing and Physical Fitness.

In addition, several awards will be presented:

Top Academic Student Award
Best All Around Student Award

Awards are sponsored by Fresno/Madera Counties Police Chief’s Association.

There are 38 police cadets who have been hired by 8 different law enforcement agencies that include Fresno Police Department, Fresno Sherriff’s Office, Madera Police Department, Mendota Police Department, Chowchilla Police Department, Porterville Police Department, the Mariposa Sherriff’s Office and the Fowler Police Department.
