SCCCD Annual Men of Color Summit

The four colleges of the State Center Community College District present the Annual Men of Color Summit on Friday, November 14, 2025. Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, and Madera Community College have partnered to bring more than 300 local high school males of color to the summit. The summit will be held in the Old Administration Building at Fresno City College.

The summit includes special speakers and sessions designed to present information to help the students learn about higher education and successfully meeting future goals. Students will be greeted by Fresno City College President, Denise Whisenhunt; Madera Community College President, Dr. Angel Reyna; SCCCD Chancellor, Dr. Carole Goldsmith and SCCCD Board of Trustee President Nicole Parra. Attendees will also hear from Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, CSU Fresno President and Dr. Norlan J Hernandez, Fresno Pacific University Associate Provost. The keynote speaker is Richard “TJ” Jennings, Reedley College head men’s basketball coach.

Sessions will include a variety of topics designed to give students the skills and vital information they can use to find success in education and professionally.
