Message from the President

Dear Faculty, Staff and Administrators,

This fall, Fresno City College will be participating in the Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE), a national survey of institutional practices and student behaviors during the earliest weeks of college. SENSE is an initiative of the Center for Community College Student Engagement, part of the Program in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin. SENSE results will help us better understand the entering student experience at Fresno City College. Fresno City College has used SENSE data in the past for student equity planning and other matters related to the success of our students.

The survey will be administered during the fourth and fifth class weeks of the fall academic term in classes randomly selected by the Center. Instructors whose classes are selected for survey administration will receive further information from the Office of Instruction or the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning.

To learn more: visit SENSE, email Center for Community College Student Engagement, or call 512.471.6807. Please direct any questions to either Dr. Robert Pimentel, Vice President of Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness or Don Lopez, Vice President of Instruction.
