Sociology

Why does society function the way it does? Why do people behave the way they do? The Sociology Program is designed to acquaint you with tools to understand the functioning of the society in which you live. You can gain a broad and multicultural perspective of the world around you and acquire a solid foundation for further study in sociology. You can use your skills to positively influence your community in areas like teaching, social work, drug and alcohol counseling, police work, probation aides, juvenile hall counseling, medical work, international business, and any other occupation that places you in contact with people of diverse backgrounds.
