Professor Balogh was born on star-date 1974.48 in the pre-warp civilization of Earth in the Sol system. Having discovered empathic and telepathic abilities to convey abstract knowledge, he refined those abilities by attending Star Fleet Academy (Brigham Young University Provo branch), graduating with a specialization in extreme ultraviolet optics and andragogy on star-date 2001.33. He has held his current post as a space-time dynamics instructor since star-date 2001.61 to the present. When not preparing new Star Fleet cadets for the rigors of scientific discovery, Professor Balogh uses his holodeck time to work on pre-industrial methods of food production, performing physical feats of anti-gravity oriented ascents of near vertical surfaces, deploying remote controlled atmospheric vehicles, and exploring networked virtual worlds on the holodeck.
