Course Description - AJ284

This course is designed to prepare experienced dispatchers to serve as trainers for new employees. The course covers the role and duties of the Communications Training Officer position adult learning concepts mentoring evaluating and documentation of training. This course also includes communication skills and cultural issues in the work environment.

The course was recently revised by subject matter experts for its content. The instructors involved in the training have attended IDI instructor development which focus on adult learning concepts so student can be prepared to have an exciting learning environment.

Prior to coming to class:

  • Students will bring a copy of their agency's trainee evaluation form(s)
  • POST: 40 Hour Course POST Plan
