Philosophy

Do you like to think deeply about big questions? What is the meaning of life? How do we know right from wrong? What is truth? What is justice? Do we have free will? What’s the best form of government? Does God exist? Philosophy means “love of wisdom.” Studying philosophy can provide you with crucial skills for critical thinking, written and verbal communication, moral and ethical reasoning, and how to analyze and understand arguments and assertions so you can recognize bad arguments and develop better ones. Philosophy examines life’s big questions and gives you the tools not only to try to answer those questions, but also to have a successful career and a fulfilling life.
