Bobby Von Martin is a Choctaw painter and muralist who is known for his community-based art practice and events. His paintings celebrate the diverse cultures of Native American peoples, while also depicting historical and contemporary struggles, and the long culture of resistance. Often, his work engages the visual language of street art and graffiti culture. Also an educator who teaches art for several local Native American organizations, he hopes to inspire young people, while also educating the wider community on these issues. He is a resident artist at M Street Arts Complex in downtown Fresno, CA.
