Carly Tex

Carly Tex is a Western Mono traditional basket weaver, linguist, language instructor, community organizer, cultural consultant, and advocate. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology with emphasis in Linguistic Studies from CSU-Sonoma, and an M.A. in Linguistics from University of Arizona through the Native American Languages Master’s Program (NAMA). She also attends community language classes and works with her elders to learn, document, and maintain the Western Mono language. She lives and works in Fresno, CA.
