Delaney R. Whitebird Olmo

Delaney R. Whitebird Olmo is a writer and an enrolled member of the Kashia Pomo Tribe of California. She is also of Karuk and Yurok descent. Currently, she attends Fresno State’s MFA Program. Her emphasis is on poetry, but she also writes some fiction. She was the 2020 recipient of the Mireyda Barraza Social Justice Poetry Prize. Her work can be found in Sandhills Literary Magazine, Rockvale Review, Foothill Poetry Journal, and others. She currently serves as an assistant poetry editor for The Normal School. She was the recipient of a 2021 Fellowship for Desert Nights, Rising Stars Conference.
