Fresno City College is open to all qualified students over the age of 18. If you are still in High School as a junior or senior, you may apply if you have permission from your parents, High School counselor, and High School principal.
Education requirements (must meet one) for standard enrollment:
- High School Diploma
- General Education Development (GED), or
- passed California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE).
If you are 18 years old or older and have not earned a High School Diploma, a General Education Development (GED), or passed the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE), you will be admitted as a Provisional Student.
Full-time Provisional Students must enroll in 12 units or more and earn a GPA of 1.75 or greater their first semester to continue enrollment. Part-time students enrolled in less than 12 units are not subject to this requirement.
Residency Requirements: Have California residency or military service documented for In-State Tuition.
If you are under 18 and have not graduated high school, there are two options:
- High School Enrichment is designed to provide high school students in the 11th and 12th grades an opportunity for advanced scholastic college level coursework taken on Fresno City College campus.
- High School Dual Enrollment is organized through the high school and allows the student to earn college credit for high school classes taken on the high school campus.
