3. Appointments

Students must schedule appointments in advance. Each student is limited to one tutoring session per day, lasting up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. The final appointment of the day must end by 4:45 PM. Walk-in sessions are available as space allows.

4. Session Time Limits

Each tutoring session is limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes. After the session ends, students may remain in the center for independent study or computer use, but tutors will not be available beyond the scheduled time. Other tutors may answer brief questions if available, but extended tutoring beyond the scheduled session is not permitted

5. Back-to-Back Appointments

Back-to-back tutoring appointments for the same subject are not allowed and will be canceled.

6. Tutoring Support and Referrals

DSPS tutoring primarily supports students enrolled in DEVSERV courses and is provided by undergraduate tutors. If a tutor is not qualified to provide the needed support, the student will be referred to another tutoring center or campus resource better suited to their needs.

7. Academic Integrity

Tutors will not complete assignments or generate content for students. Their role is to explain concepts, guide learning, and support skill development. Students must actively participate and complete their own work. The use of AI tools to generate papers or assignment answers is prohibited unless explicitly allowed by the course instructor in the syllabus.
